Home Loan Process
You’re ready to apply for a home loan in Oregon, Washington or California. What’s the next step? Armed with a basic understanding of the home loan application process and a strategic game plan, you can tackle the process of obtaining the right mortgage for your specific situation.
Miles D. Rusth has laid out and explained what the home loan application process looks like in five simple steps to help prepare you for what’s coming next. And remember, as your Mortgage Banker, Miles is here to assist you, no matter where you are in the process.
STEP 1: APPLICATION
You can start the process by filling out an application online, giving Miles a call, or even stopping by his office. Together, you’ll evaluate your financial details to find the most beneficial home loan solution.
In order to provide you with the best financial benefits, Miles gets to know your unique situation and financial goals. This involves looking at various pieces of information from your financial history. Take a look at a list of information we’ll use to consider your application. After he gets a clear picture of your finances, he’ll match your goals to a home loan option that right for you.
Whether you’re looking to purchase a home, invest in property, refinance your existing home, build a home, consolidate your debt, or pay off your current mortgage faster, Miles has the tools, experience, and options available to make it happen.
STEP 2: PROCESSING
Miles and his team gather the required information to help you obtain your specific loan. They’ll order any necessary services, such as an appraisal or preliminary title.
STEP 3: UNDERWRITING
Next, Miles and his team underwrite your loan. The professional underwriter on his team will carefully go through each document you submitted and verify the information. The underwriters’ job is to make sure that all of the necessary information is included and each “i” is dotted and every “t” is crossed. At this point, you may be required to submit additional documentation, depending on your specific loan requirement.
STEP 4: FUNDING
Then, Miles schedules the signing of your loan documents. During the closing, you’ll sign the final loan documents. The funding of your home loan will typically occur within 24 to 72 hours.
